The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

What must I do to be saved?

“…Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” Acts 16:31

Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ means not trusting in oneself or one’s own attempts at pleasing God. There is a transfer of trust away from us onto Him. Trusting Him to do for us what we cannot do for ourselves. Every human being suffers from a serious problem, the problem of sin. Sin has separated us from a Holy God. The wages of sin is eternal death. There is no way where we can save ourselves from the wrath of God. Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins. No man can pay ransom for another man. Almighty God does not want us to perish but have everlasting life. So, God sent His only begotten Son Jesus to the earth as the fulfillment of the law and the ultimate sacrifice. He lived the perfect life that we could not live and died in our place, for our sins, buried and rose again. When he died upon the cross, he screamed the words “It is finished”. What he meant by these three words was that the price for our sins was paid completely. He was fully God and entirely man. As a perfect human, he could die for other humans. As the true and living God his payment for sin was infinite.

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved except in the name of Jesus!
