"How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!" Psalm 139:17
The planet earth from space is viewed as a tiny dot, and all the people on the planet are like nothing. Yet God says, I have called the nothing as significant. God has created us. He has formed our inward parts; He has covered us in our mother’s womb. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are His works. Our frame was not hidden from Him. His eyes saw our substance, being yet unformed. All the days ordained for us were written in His book before one of them came to be. If we start counting the thoughts God has towards us, they would outnumber the grains of sand. We are of the value of the blood of Jesus. That is priceless. We are God’s purchased possession. Sometimes like Shulamite in the book of Song of Solomon we see ourselves dark, tend to see our infirmities, spots, and blemishes of life. But God says, you are fair my love, behold, you are fair! When we have repented there wouldn’t be any spot or blemish in us because God imputes Christ’s righteousness on us, and we are above reproach in God’s sight.
When we remember that God thought upon us from old eternity, continues to think upon us every moment, and will think of us when time shall be no more, we may well exclaim, “How great is the sum! May God’s infinite thoughts towards us lead us to offer praises, reverence, and adoration unto Him.
