The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Jehovah-Sabaoth!

“The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.” Psalm 46:7

‘Lord of Hosts’ appears 261 times in the Old Testament, and it refers to all the heavenly armies under God’s command. These heavenly armies may include celestial bodies like sun, moon and stars and heavenly beings such as cherubim, seraphim, and other angels.  As the LORD of hosts, God is the all-powerful Ruler over the entire universe. All power and authority are His. He alone intervenes to provide victory for His people. When we are powerless and when there is no other help, Lord of Hosts is the Strong Tower into which we can run.  The God of all hosts is able to meet us where we are. Lord of Hosts speaks of God's available power in our time of trouble.

• Like Hannah, cry unto the Lord of Hosts if you are going through barrenness. (1 Sam. 1:11)

• Like David, go in the name of the Lord of Hosts against every Goliath in your life. (1 Sam. 17:45)

• Like Elisha’s servant, see the Lord of Hosts if the fear has blinded you. (2 Kings 6:17)

• Like Joshua, Worship the Lord of Hosts. (Joshua 5:15)

On this Leap day, praise, thank and Worship ‘The Lord of Hosts’ because He is always on our side!
