“His delight is in the law of the Lord. (Ps. 1:2)
Many a time, we find ourselves taking delight in the things that bring us temporary pleasure for the moment, but there is a permanent one that leads to eternity, and that is meditating in the word of God. The believer who meditates day and night on the Word of the Lord does not become embroiled in the ways of the world.
In perilous times as such, we need the assurance and hope only the Word can provide to sustain us. The Bible says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. (Rom. 12:2). A true transformation can be seen in our lives when adhered to the Word. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” (II Tim. 3:16)
