The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Attributes of Spiritual Endurance!

Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer.” Romans 12:12.

Paul gives us three things to remember and put into practice, which can be relatable to any and every circumstance that we may find ourselves in.

        1.      Rejoice in hope – the Bible says, Let the hope that you have in God cause you to live with great joy and the gospel of Jesus Christ bring us lasting joy. " Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy, he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” (1 Peter 1:3).

Our hope of being made right with God through Christ, our hope of Christ returning, the hope of heaven, and our hope in the promises of God are sure foundations that should leave us rejoicing. Let your hope cause you to rejoice.

        2.      Be patient in tribulation – Jesus said, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33). By knowing and trusting that God is in control. His timing is perfect. He does not make mistakes. He has a perfect plan.  We can patiently rest in God’s sovereign authority and power.

        3.      Be constant in prayer – Prayer is a powerful weapon because it is the most personal way to experience God, to encounter Him, and to grow in knowledge of Him.

God's desire is for us to pray “on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests” (Ephesians 6:18).
Prayer binds both Hope and Perseverance. Through prayer, we rejoice, and through prayer, we persevere!
