The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Spiritual warfare!

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.” (2 Cor. 10:3)

The Bible enforces spiritual battle by reminding us that our weapons are “mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds” (2 Cor. 10:4).

Though our struggle is not against flesh and blood, our true foe is much more fearsome and sinister. In Ephesians 6:12, Paul writes that we wrestle “against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

There is more power available to us because Jesus Christ in us is greater than Satan, who is in the world (1 Jn. 4:4). It is also clearly stated in James 4:7, that if we submit to God and resist the devil, he will flee from us.

God has given us his Word and Spirit, powerful and true, so we'll have the wisdom and protection to stand against the enemy. We focus today on putting on His armor, staying alert, and praying that God will equip believers everywhere to "stand strong."
