"Hatred stirs up strife, but love cover all sins"- Prov 10:12
Hatred leads to quarrel, sleeplessness, unforgiveness, gossiping etc. However, Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. Scripture says, He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now – 1 John 2:9.
Bible teaches God is Love. For all the commandments of God is summed in this word “You shall love your neighbor as yourself”. Love does no wrong to a neighbor; Therefore love is the fulfilling of the law – Romans 13:10.
As children of God, scripture mandates us to love our enemies, do good to those who hate us and also to pray for those who mistreat us.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help us not to hate anyone. Instead fill us with ‘Phileo (brotherly love)’. In Jesus name I pray – Amen!!!
