Peace to you, do not fear – Judges 6:23
In the beginning of Judges chapter 6, we read Israelites disobeyed the Lord. Because of their disobedience God handed them over to Midianites. They were extremely cruel, and they oppressed Israel for 7 years. Israelites cried out to God for help and He sent the angel of the Lord to man named Gideon.
Angel of the Lord is speaking to Gideon, who is hiding himself in the winepress. Gideon is paralyzed by fear of the enemy. God uses low self-esteem people for His glory.
Many of us are like Gideon fearing and not knowing what tomorrow holds for us. “Do not fear” is the command from Lord. God is speaking peace over our situation. He knows the end from the beginning. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose – Romans 8:28
Prayer: Father God, you haven’t given us spirit of fear but of power and love. Replace our fear with peace of God. In Jesus name I pray – Amen!!!!
