For he is that is dead is freed from sin. Romans 6:7
If you are a Believer in Christ, then we have a new relationship to sin – i.e we are Dead to sin! Paul emphasizes on the fact that when we are born again and baptized, we take part in his Death, Burial and Resurrection. In Jesus Christ, we are not only dead to sin, but are also alive in him!! We walk in newness of life, because we’re raised from the dead through his resurrection power.
If your not a believer, then your living in sin. If you die today, you will end up in hell!! Jesus paid the penalty for your sins on the cross. All you need to do is to repent of your sins, confess and accept him as your savior. By doing so, you will be delivered from the power of sin and can enjoy newness of life!!
Prayer: Gracious God, thank you for reminding us that we are dead to sin and live in newness of life!! We admit that it is only possible through your death, burial and resurrection. Thank you Jesus, Amen!
