Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised
-Psalms 145:3

This Psalm is titled “A Praise of David”. Though Psalm 86 is called “A Prayer of David”, This is the only one titled “A Praise of David” and it is a summit peak of praise. It is an “alphabetical” psalm; that is, each verse begins with a letter of the Hebrew alphabet.

2. Passing the praise of God from one generation to another, Psalms 145:4-7.
3. The memory and present experience of God’s goodness, Psalms 145:8-9.
4. All creation declares God’s praise, Psalms 145:10-13.
5. The kindness of God to those in need, Psalms 145:14-16.
6. The love and righteousness of the LORD, Psalms 145:17-21
Verse Psalms 145:3
Christ is the great God as well as our savior, great in all the perfections of his nature, of great wisdom. power, faithfulness, holiness, grace, and goodness in his person as God-man, God manifests in the flesh; great in all his offices and relations he bears and stands in to his people; and great in all his works of creation, providence, and redemption, in which he is concerned; and upon all which accounts he is to be praised, and greatly to be praised, by his people, even to the utmost of their capabilities, here and hereafter, Psalms 48:1.
And his greatness is unsearchable; the greatness of his nature, and the perfections of it, these are past finding out; and so are his ways and works, and the riches of his grace, John 11:7
Prayer
Heavenly Father, grant me tenacious winsome courage as I go through this day. When I am tempted to give up, help me to keep going. Grant me a cheerful spirit when things don't go my way.
Lord, may pastor’s messages and preaching come to me, not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that our faith might not rest on the wisdom of man, but upon your power, 1 Corinthians 2:4-5. In Jesus' name, Amen.
