“Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.” Psalm 57:5
Psalm 57 is the prayer of David when he fled from Saul into the Cave, he cries out to the God Most High, to The God who performs all things for him. Psalmist wants God to be exalted above the heavens, as his trust is in the All-powerful God, the God of his forefathers who is able to deliver him from the attacks of his enemy by His mighty strength.
God delivered David by His mighty strength but God delivered us all from our enemy by making Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bond-servant, coming in the likeness of men, humbling himself to the point of death, even the death on the cross. Therefore God has Highly exalted Jesus and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth.
God’s glory is exalted above the universe. Therefore, the 6 winged Seraphim’s Worship the Lord by covering their face and feet with 4 wings in adoration & praise, crying out- Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!
