“For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.” – Psalm 89:18
Most of us take great care of our mobile phones, laptops, cameras, etc., by applying screen shields, antivirus shields to protect them from any damage. In spite of our great care towards our devices they become obsolete in a span of maximum 10 years, within this time, they become precious to us. God created all of us in His likeness and we are the apple of His eye, the Lord has shielded our lives & soul for eternity.
On several occasions, Satan might blind our eyes and not allow us to recognize that we are shielded by our Lord. In 2 Kings 6:14-17, Elisha sees invisible and spiritual protection, whereas Elisha’s servant only saw the Syrian army surrounding the city with horses and chariots, and said, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” So Elisha answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, and said, “LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
If our spiritual eyes are opened, we should see the angel-hosts as an encircling fence of fire around us because the LORD is our defence.
