Acts 13:34 – I will give you the sure mercies of David.
The verse preceding and proceeding this above verse, primarily talks about resurrection and the resurrected/glorified body. David and all human beings who ever lived on the face of the earth tasted death/decay, but not Jesus who was resurrected on the 3rd day with the glorified body. Christ rose from the dead to fulfill God’s covenant with David for a throne that would be established forever. David’s house would live on. The mercies were made sure in Christ. Praise God for the sure mercies of David, who will raise us up to a glorified body, for them that trusteth in Jesus.
Before we taste the glorified body though, Jesus must be risen in our hearts. This happens when we repent of our SINS and believe in the lord Jesus Christ as our Savior.
May we look to Him who is declared to be the Son of God by his resurrection from the dead, that by faith in him we may walk with God, and serve our generation according to his will: and when death comes, may we fall asleep in him, with a joyful hope of a blessed resurrection.
Quote: Many lived and died, only ONE, died and lived.
Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure love for David. – Isaiah 55:3
Haven’t you believed? – Repent
