Apostle Paul commended the Philippian church about their fellowship together in the Spirit. He was writing it to encourage them because he never expected much from them but he was amazed when the church sent him a gift for the ministry’s work through Epaphroditus. There is nothing that can be compared to being in fellowship with one mind. The Philippian church was a group of people characterized by love; they made tremendous progress in their walk with God.
In order for us as believers to be united together in love and joy, peace and harmony, we are to let the mind of Christ dwell in us richly and to display the same love that Jesus displayed in His earthly life. As the body of Christ, we should be of one mind, one spirit and one heart, but it is only possible when we are transformed into the likeness of Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit. Then we will be able to discern what is good, acceptable and the perfect will of God, and to display it in our lives.
