Worry can’t do what submission can.

no weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord." Isaiah 54:17.

We can take this verse as a story line, or a continual promise from God. Most often the verses like Isaiah 54:17 provide us an assurance over our challenges. But we must not read the word of God superficially, instead, we must take time and pray to God to help us to dig deeper in it to understand the full message from this or all other verses or scriptures we read.

When I read this verse, I start picking the words, that I need to focus to understand this correctly and enjoy the fullness of this amazing assurance. One can say how come this promise is true. There are the weapons used in early Christianity, Christ followers have been and continually going to be ridiculed by the enemy’s tongue. So how can we claim that success as our heritage? The simple and straightforward answer is the Holy Spirit. People who are killed in the line of preaching God’s love will never die but, live more than the one who is living. They lived with the purpose of God and they died with the purpose of God. Yesterday, we read about self-denial and taking up our cross to follow. And we know the full meaning of what it means.

We must submit everything to Him and let His will be done. We can’t extend one single moment of our lives, so let Him take care of all what is needed to fulfill the purpose of our existence. John was poisoned, and Paul was bitten by a viper, but nothing happened to them until His purpose is done. And today even though they are dead physically, they are living and making changes in billions of people. So, worry will not bring anything to us where total submission can bring all good fruits while we are living and even long after we complete our purpose and return back to our eternal destiny.
