The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

The LORD upholds all who fall

The LORD upholds all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down. Ps. 145:14

David was young when Samuel anointed him as a king. As the LORD was nigh unto David (Ps. 145:18), he was able to face the giant Goliath, Saul’s attacks, and all his enemies. David saw highs in His life and, at the same time, lows as well. He was fallen when he committed a great sin with Bathsheba, and he planned her husband Uriah to be killed in the battle. But God did not let David continue in sin. God sent Nathan to open his eyes, and immediately David realized and said, “I have sinned against the Lord.”

This incident tells us that our LORD upholds all who fall. We are no greater than David. We all have sinned against the Lord and fallen short of His glory. When we were in a fallen state, God didn’t want us to continue in sin; instead, to save ourselves, He became flesh (Jesus Christ), and came down to save all of us.

As David praised God, let us uplift our dear Lord with the verse below:

“My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord, and all flesh shall bless His holy name forever and ever.” Psalm 145:21

Let us celebrate the birth of Jesus in this season.
